Scalia's a low grade whore. I don't like any judicial ideologues, left or right. Those pricks are supposed to parse the law, not bend over for their constituency. I am pragmatic, and realize no judge is above being an ideologue some of the time, but people like Scalia and Ruth Bader seem to think being whores is fine and dandy. I say fuck them both with cattle prods.... Maybe that's a bit rough... maybe not.
I'd drink with Dick because Dick is no whore. A lying, chickenshit draft dodging, drunk driving elitist prick, yes. But we are talking drinking, and we are talking me, and his resume pretty much ensures a damned fun evening, even if I don't buy his politics. Decent people - decent hicks like Dick and I - could put politics aside when discussing that joy of being alive, stupid and lucky that you only understand on the highway, on a head full of malt liquor, driving a 1983 Suburban with all the windows open and "You Don't Love/Soul Serenade" pounding out of the stereo.
