Short answer -- they suck.

I don't know. They have a lot of young, unproven guys. The few young guys who had really good years last year aren't having the same kind of year this year. They took chances on a few veterans as reclamation projects to fill some holes who haven't panned out as everybody had hoped (see Mota).

They weren't getting to Wickman very often. Wick, while he often made things an adventure, was reliable. Then again, if you aren't getting into save situations with your middle relievers, he's not going to do you much good. Carmona? Who knows? He closed with some success in the minors, but whether that translates to the bigs is anyone's guess.

They let Riske go at the end of last year -- even though he's not the second coming, he's generally pretty steady, and you knew what you got with him.

They miss Bobby Howry really badly -- his loss was huge.

Are you asking this to make up for the froo froo shaving cream discussion?
