I bought three pair, one with a flared leg (boot cut?) and two straight leg, but not so riding-pants-y in the calf. Riding pants are not particularly flattering for most people (ok, they're not so flattering on me), unless you are wearing the boots that are supposed to go over them. Which I will not do in the streets of NYC.

Are James Jeans the ones with the back pockets with the little dart in them so the pockets aren't totally pocket-shaped? In any case, I have heard of James Jeans. I think there are some sexy ads for them riding around on the tops of taxis.
I have some Hudson Jeans that I recently picked up that are kind of "skinny" jeans, but not so "skinny" jeans that they look uber-trendy. It's a nice balance. I would recommend.
