BUt even reading this site that you linked, I can't find a quote from Rosie where she said it was "no big deal." The blog author writes,
"When confronted, she said she was doing it to be funny.
In other words, Rosie’s cool, so shut up and get over it."
This is the blog writer's interpretation of what she said, not what she actually said. Again, I think her attempt at humor was stupid. But she apologized. And, as Gwinky posted, Rosie acknowledges that what she said was stupid and that she is probably going to say stupid things in the future. Hopefully, she will perhaps think a little before saying something that other might find offensive.
A wise lesson indeed.
