Perhaps: Cold water is denser (down to, what, one degree celsius?) than warm. Ice melt is cold and will chill surrounding water, ergo, no greater volume with somewhat more water. Also, more water equals more weight which could compress the (relatively thin) crust under the oceans. Even a slight subsidence of the ocean floor would create a great deal extra volume for the oceans.
There is clear, photographic evidence of shrinking ice caps and glaciers around the world, so the ice must be going someplace. Unless someone is making money by hiding it off balance sheet, there must be greater water volume on the oceans. Probably less than .01%, but more nonetheless.
