I've seen focus groups on her. She appeals to indepdendents and Republican women and to the liberal base of the party. For some reason she has been able to move to the center without ticking off the liberal base. Yes - Cindy Sheehan doesn't like her but that is about it.

I think the liberals like her because the conservatives hate her so much. But in any case, she seems to be the only Democrat able to stradle the liberals, the independents and Republican women.

Only Giuilian and McCain will be able to pull back the independents and the moderate Republican women.
