Spank Broke the Board

Those are sort of like that "Mallard Fillmore" comic strip -- seeking laughs in a heavy-handed fashion from like-minded souls.

Its a "flipping the bird" style of humor from partisan political cartoonists. Not all editorial cartoonists are partisan -- as opposed to political -- but some are firmly on one side or another and allow it to really show up in their work.

Other partisan comic strips include Candorville (left) and Prickly City (right). Those are rarely as heavy-handed as the stuff Spanky posts though.

P.S. These guys do it for a living. We don't have to worry about how to talk to them. We have to figure out how to talk to the people who think this is funny, or trenchant political commentary.
