Or you could just send an e-mail to your local friends and say that you're getting rid of it and could anyone use one. That is how I got rid of a bunch of stuff (including a bike) when I moved to LA. Now I can monitor how my bike, living room set, etc. are doing if I so desire. And I like the people using them.
(No, I've never really cared to find out how the stuff is doing, but I COULD if I cared about that sort of thing.)
