I tell you this. In ten years of practice and having worked in 5 different areas of law and with lawyers from huge firms down to the lowest PI bottom feeders, on the balance, with the exception of the people here, who are the exception to the rule in the industry, generally I'd talk to a gas station attendant over a lawyer every day of the week.
