my fave biglaw phone call is some guy in another office calls me "Hank, I need you to drop everything and look at the patent list for the acquisition. we need the help now!" while he was talking, I had looked at the biglaw internal phone book and saw he was an associate, as was I. "I can't help you today, i'm very busy with partner X's very important matter." " Hank, you're a third year associate, right? I'm fifth year, so you better do this!"
