Oakland had/has several.
Catholic churches are on a parish system. If the parish is in a black neighborhood, odds are that the church has a majority black parishionership.
Surprising religious fact of the day: there are more black Catholics in America than Black Muslims. If blacks were proportionally represented in the ranks of Catholic bishops, public perception would be a lot different.
Moving from the sacred to the profane, the real effect of the LA strip club ruling will be to shift aggressive strip club behavior from the confines of the City of Los Angeles to clubs east and south of Los Angeles proper. Str8 can probably verify that this trend has been in place several years. I predict that some clubs in the Valley will close/relocate because of the lapdancing ban.
Edited to add:
E/O, I know that Catholic churches in predominantly black areas aren't black churches
per se, but the services and atmoshpere are different than at a Catholic church in a white suburb. FWIW, the same goes for many black protestant churches. The point is, the services are different.
