I don't want to scroll back that far, but you were mocking DC for shutting down for the least little thing, like a couple few inches of snow, or a hurricane. Apparently your reasoning was that people in DC were delusional in thinking that Isabel would really have a tremendous effect because, as I think you pointed out, DC is not on the shore.

Except if you were a real man, you would go in to work. If streets are closed or you need to take the Metro and it's closed, walk. It's not like you will get knocked over by a wave or whatever.
