I think it's more a product of where you come from. If you grew up in the ghetto, you probably never learned to swim. No pools. No lakes. No skinny dipping watering holes. No beach. Just fire hydrants. Kind of sad.

That said, I have seen reality shows where the black person manages to tread water for quite some time.

Great show. Sometimes hard to watch. Last week had one of the best moments in reality tv I've seen. Joe's breakdown. Producers and actors questioning the whole thing and their participation in it.

Someone sent me an interesting article on the show where the author thought that Joe might actually be an actor (hired by the show) who was pulling the wool over all of the other actors' and low level producers' eyes. Now that would be fucking cool.
