Heh, come to think of it, it was middle school. I made some OK but stupid mouse pillow, and hated cooking more than anything else. In HS further home ec was, I think, a one-semester option to IA (which I took). We did basic woodworking, wiring and glass cutting for doors and windows. I think we had to put together some mechanical thing, too, but I don't remember what. I remember I liked the band saw.
