It depends on what you mean when you say "scientific support." If you mean definitive and uncontrovertable proof, well, you are right.
But if by "scientific support" you mean that there is no scientific evidence that supports this theory, well, you are wrong if you say that. There is scientific evidence. The real issues are whether it is good data and if it is good data, are the conclusions that are drawn from this data based on sound scientific principles and logic and deductive reasoning and can you explain any data that seems to contradict the conclusions.
It is very rare in the world of biological science for there to be definitive and uncontrovertable proof. But that doesn't mean that we can have no inkling whatsoever regarding whether a biological phenomena is occurring or not.
When the very survival of the planet may depend on whether this phenomena is occuring or not, we would be fools to wait around for definitive and uncontrovertable proof of this before we do something about it.
The first thing everyone needs to do about it is to stop the mindless breeding. We are not animals. We have a conscience and that separates us from the animals. We don't have to act on every biological urge we feel.
Stop the breeding before we overrun the planet with humans and choke it to death and then we all die.
No more new people is the best way to stop killing the earth. If the rest of you fucking (no pun intended) people would listen to me on this point, there might be a viable planet 200 years from now.
