From New York to Los Angeles and from the Baja to Calgary, store managers everywhere have been astounded by what appears to be a calculated mass purchase of socks.
"I haven't seen anything like it" says Phineas "Phee" Mullins, Senior Manager of the Southeast Division of Wal-Mart. "Hundreds of men have flocked to each of our stores and purchased every single pair of socks we had on-site. It was incredible."
Reports have surfaced that some men sacked a nearby Williams-Sonoma and placed oven mitts on their feet.....
