Your contractor boyfriend is only collecting lunchboxes in order to have a myriad of hiding places for his skin mags. Buying him another is a classic enabling activity. Don't fall into the trap.
In all seriousness, wtf does he do with the lunchboxes? Does he display them in his/your home? Who collects things after, say, the age of 12? Does he also collect hummels? Keychains? Stamps?
