2. From what I've read, it looks like a lawyer for Hilton told the Sheriff they were sending a motion to the judge to get Paris out, but never did it. Sometimes an administrative person will fuck up or can be massaged into giving you what the courts won't. I've gotten strange extensions on motion replies and trials bumped by using admin channels. Every lawyer has. My guess is the lawyers kind of bullshitted the sheriff into thinking the motion was a done deal and the judge would approve it in such a way that they;d have plausible deniability if confronted later.

That was a dumb move by the lawyers if they ever intend to use those admin channels for favors in the future. Not wise to burn those people; it's like pissing off your secretary.
