Dog meat festival is an annual thing. Maybe the clubbed will be on special?

This makes sense
Still a little much for most here but beats the lockdown.

For GGG
Laphroaig Cairdeas. Pedro Ximenex Casks.
If you’ve not had this, you need to grab a bottle. It’s 118 proof, but you don’t notice it (don’t know how they do that). And it tastes a bit like rum. Hard to explain, but delicious.

I also do not play with super proof. That often doesn’t end well for me.

If you're a USMNT fan, it's nice to see England cratering just now. Not many games left before Qatar.

This stuff masks the alcohol better than anything I’ve had. You’d have no idea it was that strong if you didn’t check the bottle.

This is one I usually have open somewhere, it's less peaty in taste than other Laphroigs, something about the process mellows it out a fair bit.
The older Laphroigs get even more mellow; you may know it was made with a lot of peat, but what's left are little wisps of flavor that really taste nothing like the young smoky peat. Sebby's right, there is a sweet taste in it, like a rum, but way more subtle.
I'm still mourning the lack of easy accessible single malt Japanese scotches, though. When my chemo's done, I just may spring for one of the really crazy expensive remaining bottles.

Nikka. I just buy whatever I see by that distillery, and it’s all been great. Their gin is also fantastic.
I got an 8 yo Hatozaki recently. Damn fine stuff.

I am partial to Jura. Won a free trip there and had the factory for a private tasting. Some of my favorites were the least peaty.

The Wire and The Expanse were the two must underrated TV shows in history, change my mind.

I love the Expanse so much. So much. I get why it ended when it did, and I am really glad they got to tell their story, but damn I want more.

Never seen or heard of the Expanse.
