Naw, I've been wearing a ring for some time now, and I can attest that it seems to act as a stimulus for some women. Ahem, not all young single women. Though, if a guy is clearly off the market it's safe to flirt with him even if you wouldn't take it further whether he was married/involved or not. And it's rarely an insult to get flirted with, so it's win/win.
