That his first response to someone taking a position adverse to you is to write a nasty, whiny e-mail -- one laden with profanity, to a work colleague he'd presumably never met -- doesn't say much about his potential for lawyering.

he is a first-year or very junior, I believe. Apparently he works *all* the time. He is not getting much flak for this at all, or so I have heard. I have also heard that the accounting staff there are particularly awful. Perhaps this was not his first run-in with them.
