How many of these balls do you think Mantle had to sign for his contract with Topps?

For all the haters.

I'd ask Pony to put up a picture of two broads kissing in the stands at the Stanley Cup, but I'm afraid he would.

Which would you rather hear after your team takes a loss? "Well, I suppose the the referee really had no choice, it was an understandable call, I can see why he did it" or someone chanting "the ref's going home in a German ambulance"?
I did not mean to imply any criticism of Mr. Cuban.

None taken. I used your post as what is generally known by the name given to it by Sebastian Dangerfield: a "jumping off point" for some more general observations. Or, in French, a non sequitur.

miracle?

about 12 years ago my health club had a bone marrow doner drive (manager's daughter had leukemia). My wife just heard a voice mail indicating i am a potential match for someone, and that if I'm interested I should call.

She said she assumes I wouldn't want to bother with it, and should she delete the message.

Question: does this assumption mean she is a bad person, or only mean that she thinks I'm a bad person?

Don't know what it means, but you should rest assured, we all think you are a bad person.

I don't know your wife, but I will offer the observation that she knows you better than any of us.

Neither. She's just trying to protect you. Bone marrow transplants are extremely painful, and we all know that you're just not capable.

It's painless to a corpse. Didn't you have a side business going? Where's your entrepeneurial spirit?

I dreamed last night (this morning, actually) that I was beheaded while playing football. It was painless, and I thought it was pretty cool that I could confirm that the head can indeed stay alive to view its former body. In my dream, I came to on a hospital bed, where I was informed that doctors had been able to reattach my head, along with all my nerves, and that I'd be fine, just immobilized for a couple of months.

Anyone do dream interpretation?

you've been worrying too much about the recent bad turn (the decapitation is textbook here) but you need to simply trust time and things will end up okay. Did you have any superpowers with the reattached head? if so, you'll likely find an even better job than you had before.

Go forth in peace!
