It's a wonder that the soundstage didn't collapse from the weight.

You don't seem to realize, but each post plays like a rerun of "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman." The audience gets smaller and smaller and the few who remain are just shaking their heads, laughing, and saying, "people used to watch this shit?"
I know you have a limited budget, but I'd recommend running a new show in this time-slot. Maybe more reruns of Golden Girls.

Yes. It's hot.
However, I don't see the relevance. If I am correct and you are a moron, but I am not, your considering me a moron is just further evidence that you are the moron. If you are correct and I am a moron, but you are not, then my considering you a moron is just further evidence that I'm a moron.
So, really, your comment is pointless.

You wanted something substantive. All he had was shit.
Wanting something substantive (or getting something substantive) is so rare on this board that I can see where you'd get confused, though.

Slow news day? How can Kerry meeting with this guy be below the radar screen?

Kerry to Al Azhar Grand Imam: Washington commited terrible mistakes in Iraq
Kerry admitted that the US committed terrible mistakes in Iraq. During a meeting on Wednesday with grand Imam of Al Azhar Mohamad Sayed Tantawi, Kerry regretted the difficult conditions in Iraq.
The Grand Imam urged all Iraqis to take part in the coming elections to be held on January 30. On his part, Kerry appreciated Al Azhar's prestigious position all over the world, pointing out that there was a common ground between Islam and Christianity.

The world’s highest authority of Sunni Islam, Sheikh Mohammed Sayed Tantawi of al-Azhar University in Cairo, is telling Muslims that suicide bombings are just fine with God: Suicide attacks on US-led troops in Iraq permitted.
Suicide attacks on the US-led coalition in Iraq are "permitted under (Islamic) religious law," the sheikh of Al-Azhar, the highest Sunni Muslim spiritual authority, Mohammed Sayed Tantawi, said here Saturday.
- "Martyr operations against the invading forces are permitted under religious law," he said, quoted by the official MENA news agency.
Tantawi described the invasion of Iraq to oust the regime of Saddam Hussein as "an unjust aggression".
"Whoever attacks others, spilling blood, harming the other's honour and land is a terrorist," he added, referring to the US-led coalition.
Hat tip: NC, who says MSNBC is reporting that Al Jazeera has the Sheikh’s speech on a loop, showing it over and over to the Arab world.

This guy was almost our President? How can any of you possibly look in the mirror. And Ty, you're an American. Reagan and Bush I will be in your kid's* history books- they're your Presidents too.
*maybe not history books in SF, but most places...

(1) Little Green Footballs selectively edited the news story to make Kerry look worse. The "terrible mistake" thing is something he said to the Egyptian Prime Minister, not the Grand Imam.
(2) The Grand Imam urged Iraqis to vote, which would suggest, to a more curious mind, that he doesn't support the suicide bombers who are trying to obstruct the election.
(3) I can't figure out what you're quoting from in the second quote there, but I followed LGF's links to a story about the Imam saying that Palestinian suicide bombers are martyrs, but that they shouldn't blow up non-combatants, or something like that. Nothing there that I see about supporting Iraqi insurgents.

as to #3 the article is expired- but lgf quotes accurately. 1)the guy encouraged Iraqui suicide bombers. 2)JFK met with him. 3) JFK may have apologized to him. 4) Club says he is bothered by some things from the Bush admin. 5) you respond with a white wash.
Say it quick- Kerry is a dick!

You think that's bad? I've heard that Franklin Delano Roosevelt met -- more than once! -- with Josef Stalin, who murdered millions of his own people and developed nuclear weapons that he pointed at the U.S. Another Democratic traitor, huh?
