3.) Try "Illy" espresso Megdalia del Oro is not as good. and that is phonetically spelled too lazy to google that. Lavazza may only make machines but if they roast espresso it is sure to be good.

It is probably unintentionally ironic for me to say, but would you shut the fuck up already.

Early Str8 gambling story

I thought of this story this morning, had an internal chuckle, and decided to share.
In 8th grade, Toronto had a city-wide math contest for public school 8th graders, Mind over Math. I fancied myself pretty good at math, as did a friend of mine in my class, Matthew Thompson. So we made a bet over who would do better. It was probably $5.
Well, we had the test, and we'd both thought we did pretty well.
A few weeks later, during one of the school's interminable assemblies, they start giving out awards for kids who'd placed in the top 10% of this Mind Over Math thingy. I didn't get called, neither did Matthew Thompson. Total idiots were going up to the stage, but not us. We look at each other.
Then the principal says, "But that's not all. We had the top two finishers in the entire city. They both got 23 questions right, and one question wrong. They were separated by only one question -- where one of them answered it wrong, and the other one chose not to answer. In second place, str8, and in first place, Matthew Thompson. Come on up and get your awards."
I think that was the first bet I ever made. I still can't believe I chose the one guy to bet against in the entire city who beat me.

i want it noted for he record that this story is even lamer than mine. At least I got implied laid in my story (although I realize that is of disproportionate greater interest to me than the rest of of you.)

Adder, why would you choose this post to tell me to shut up when it was trying to genuinely be helpful and was a pretty innocuous post [at least for me anyway]. I see your passive agressive streak hasn't changed much over the years.

5th Time is a Charm?
Christie Brinkley and her 4th? Husband Peter Cook the architect separate after 10 yrs.
She is so low brow. She has different kids from different fathers from each of her marriages and she can't keep it together. I just do not understand.

Cameras
It was me, and I am ensaddened not to see the Nikon Coolpix L3 Coltrane told me to buy on that list. OTOH, I paid $160 in the door from Amazon, which is less than all those cameras, and which will be less to shell out when I drop and break this one, like I did the last.
Coincidentally, follow that link and you'll see that Bailey Quarters expressed an interest in the camera.

Bailey's Blog vindicates me. She should be an honorary FB member.
Also, the publicist who re-christened David Hasselhoff "The Hoff" deserves a raise. I've heard it from three disparate sources this week.
I can't find it on YouTube, but there's a Fruit of the Loom commercial cum music video called "Blue" that spoofs Coldplay so effectively that Chris Martin might have to retire. I'm serious. That spot deserves a Clio.

I have a less fancy Nikon (Coolpix 4600) and was recently with a friend when she bought a new digital camera. She went in there, intent on buying an equivalent Canon. I was staying neutral but the sales-dude started lobbying for the Nikon instead. The benefits he stated include the fact that Nikon is one of the few companies that uses non-proprietary memory cards. Some also require proprietary batteries, apparently. The sales-dude also said that Nikon is the only maker that also produces their own lenses. Obviously, that has been part of Nikon's strength in the past. I also found the Canon my friend wanted to buy to be much less intuitive and fussier than the Nikon. Trash required navigating a few levels of software, whereas the Nikon has a Trash button.
The worst thing about my Nikon digital is what RP (I think) stated in the last round of this discussion. The delay between the depression of the shutter and the actual shot can be frustrating, particularly when trying to photograph something transient or moving, like a small child. The lense on my camera is also somewhat limited but my expectations weren't that high on a snapshot camera.
