I don't think that's the feminine version. I think he's wearing the suit in your photo. There is no masculine version.

I've never been to the Nairobi Denny's, but I hear they're in trouble. You should probably get back over there. Someone of your...uh (how can I put this delicately), current size or girth, could single-handedly keep them from going under.

Bob Hope death

I called it (tried searching posts for post # reference, but not successful yet). Of course I might get points off for not being sure that he was still alive at the time, but still... More surprising (if only b/c he was younger) --

Erik Braunn, the Iron Butterfly guitarist who played one of rock's most recognizable riffs in the 17-minute anthem "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida," died of cardiac arrest Friday. He was 52.

Please, could we get 16 minutes of silence.

Edited to say it was post # 12056 -

"Barry White has died. I suggest we take a moment of celebacy in mourning. Anyone else noting the high number of celebrity deaths this month? Anyone ready for a death watch poll? I'll start with the obvious choice, Bob Hope. Edited to say that it is possible that Bob Hope died already. If so, then I will go with Michael Jackson (in a FREAK accident?)."

however fast the round with Bob would go, it would be too long for me to play with him. he was boring/not funny since I was a kid. Now Kate, I bet however long the round, at the end you would want to talk her into stopping in the clubhouse to extend the time you had with her. Note, the above is purely based on percieved personality, and not political views or golfing ability.

Don't worry Leagl, I won't pick a (political) fight today--I will only note however that Kate Hepburn was a far snappier dresser than Bob Hope.

But still, he was dapper enough, so condolences to all Hope fans on a life well lived.

Look, you cannot have not noticed that occasionally (like, 20 times a day) people get flamed on this board. People particularly get flamed for taking two different positions on the same topic (e.g., Jamaica is for proles; Jamaica is a wonderful place for PLUs to vacation), especially within a couple days.

All I was saying is, it seems that you can dish it out but can't take it ("no one is fat because of allergies; it's all because they're too dumb/weak/pathetic to increase their activity or decrease the amount of food they eat;" "my grandparents are incapable of not eating every bite of food on their plates because of how they were brought up/their life experiences;" "waaaaah, don't insult my grandparents you heinous bitch!!!!!!!!!! die die die!!!!!!!!!!"). I was suggesting, with the switch board comments, that if you can't handle the heat, stay out of the kitchen. [Insert additional on point cliches].

It obviously wasn't really personal -- I have no fucking clue if your grandparents are fat or Lara Flynn Boyle-esque, nor do I care.

I've read about people like this - its a form of OCD, desparately in need of meds.

more shocking than Bob Hope's death

Liza and her freak husband have parted ways after only 14 months of marriage -- if those two crazy kids can't make it in this mixed up world, what chance is there for the rest of us?

At least we can agree on this-just stay clear of me on the golf course. I don't brook slow players-the elderly, women or children!

I don't play golf. I can, however, click the remote control faster than any other human being alive--so stay the hell out of my way when I'm zoning out in the Barcalounger watching sports or you'll be decimated.

I was at Pride this weekend videotaping the crazy man screaming ABOMINATION at the top of his lungs, whilst a reverend performed a committment ceremony for 15 gay couples. And I am thinking upon reading this, why wasn't he screaming ABOMINATION at this freak show of a marriage between a gay man and a lord knows what she is.

I mean come on. What a joke. Talk about an insult to the institution.

Of course, filming the arrests made my day, but we can leave that for another conversation (and another board.)

I'm thinking I'm pretty safe if I avoid marrying Liza Minelli, Elizabeth Taylor, or J-Lo. I'm guessing you have a much better chance if you marry someone other than David Gest.

In contrast to an industry giant like Bob Hope, Liza is a stark example of the Hollyweird culture gone sadly awry. I believe she is good friends with Streisand, which speaks volumes about her mental incapacity.

It is the unhealthy co-dependent business relationship of a worn-out alky celebrity queen and a pretentious, skanky business queen that fosters and strengthens the wonderous sacrament of marriage. To allow this tradition to be cheapened by people who truly love one another would be unacceptable.

Gawd told me so.

(Um, isn't this politics?)
