A simple factual point: If the 8% broke 5%/3%, the impact of the terrorists was not decisive.
A simple factual point: If only 8% are claiming they only made up their mind after the bombings, then 92% of Spain has been invaded by the French.

No less a media pillar than Fox News has added fuel to the "Is Bush gay?" fire by reporting this verbatim snippet of the President coming on to Brit Hume in September:

Quote:
HUME: How do you get your news?

BUSH: I get briefed by Andy Card and Condi in the morning. They come in and tell me. In all due respect, you've got a beautiful face and everything.
Whoa! Get a room, already!

I read Wonkette so Bilmore doesn't have to.

Also, if -- as the poll suggests -- they changed their vote because they thought their government lied about the bombings, then they weren't appeasing the terrorists. (And if someone draws that conclusion, you can fault the PP for the defeat, not the voters.)

Well, too, berate a people for almost two weeks for caving, call them yellow, and then ask them in a poll why they did what they did?
Oddly enough, I would bet that the Spanish media that did the polling hasn't been berating their readers in that way.

He solved the state budget deficit! Huzzah!

Truth be told, I'm relieved. The early contenders for California's state quarter all looked like ass, and this ain't half bad. (I'm a single issue voter.)

[Russia claims new weapon]
"Russia has designed a "revolutionary" weapon that would make the prospective U.S. missile defense useless, Russian news agencies reported, quoting a senior Defense Ministry official."

And they will use it to DESTROY THE WORLD unless we pay them . . . . .

ONE BILLION DOLLARS!!!

I don't feel bad. The poll was a fucking joke and I was pointing that out.

FWIW - my buddy in Madrid tells me that the middle class over there are already lamenting the vote.

Once National Review Online tells us what the Spanish people were thinking, why do we need to ask them? Let's not let the facts get in the way of the party line.

Personally, i like the cleaner look for the State's quarters. But given how busy it is, would there be harm in squeezing a Taco Bell marquee in the lower right hand portion?

I had assumed that part of the recall election was to approve the new "Terminator" design for the quarter. Is this Muir guy even a real person? An imdb search has turned up nothing quarterworthy.

The NRO hasn't been the party line since they went populist and anti-immigration.

Just like John Kerry is now a supply-sider.

I know it all changes quickly, but try to keep up, man.

I can already see Putin at the big unveiling. "And now we will show you the weapon that will render the weak American defenses ineffective, once and for all. I give you....a nuclear weapon....in a SUITCASE!" (man in tuxedo sashays out with metal briefcase handcuffed to wrist, does two model poses, twirls, exits)

I think adding the red tailed hawk (condor?) was gilding the lily. I mean, the thing's about to do the Fabio kamikazee into Muir's face. Unnecessary.

If "keep up" means I've got to read more NRO and Kerry, pass.
