When they start back up again, I plan to watch the new Apprentice and America's Next Top Model (which I loved last season). I think that's about it, other than the occasional Mtv reality show marathon. And my secret RR/RW Challenge addiction (I think Less and I might be the only 2 people over 30 in the country watching those shows). And reality poker shows (World Poker Tour, World Series of Poker and Celebrity Poker), but I don't really think of those as reality tv.

See? I've cut back!
You'll never be able to sustain the cutbacks. I predict that you will be back up to the old level within a couple months.

Is anyone watching Queer Eye for the Straight Girl? I am curious, but am outvoted by those in my household who prefer to watch West Wing over and over and over and over again.

The only thing I seem to watch is Arrested Development and the Daily Show. Maybe Boston Legal - Spader is brilliant in it, as is Shatner. And I hate law shows.

If I am forced to watch commercials and cannot fastforward through stupid challenges, I would rather kayak. but its back and just in time. bc TAR is unwatchable with Tivo as is pretty much anything but the Daily Show.

ANyway, this week brings us American Idol, another APprentice and another Survivor. I am starting to feel very been there done that about all three enterprises. And a taping conflict between AI and TAR raises the issue, do I really need to see another season of AI? Do we? SHould we just skip the first couple of episodes where Fox tries to recapture the William Hung glory and tapes a bunch of bad singers and we get to see Randy cover his face and Paula try to look neutral and Simon say something quippy but about as clever as that Weakest Link lady. What do people who have watched this drivel in the past think? can we ever regain the excitement of Clay v Ruben? SHould we just start watching when we are down to the top ten or however many it is?

and what about the apprentice? I personally cannot stand Trump, his product placements, his self flagellation and now his wedding. I certainly don't want to add to his fortune. ANd last season's finale has left a gaping gash on my attention span. They really should space these shows out , so they are annual. Is anyone gonna watch?

Ditto survivor. The problem with this show is the same as the others as the finales have been increasinly tedious and predictacble. and survivor's problem is that while it gets good midseason, the first six or so episodes are extremely boring unless you have a bitchy gay guy or a team of hot lesbos. but you have to watch them to get familiar with the characters. I don;t know what to do.

so who is watching what and why? is anyone watching any new reality shows like wickedly perfect? I am not.
FYI. The new Survivor doesn't start until February 17. Anything else is an imposter.

Perhaps that word does not mean what she thinks it means.

QUeer eye for anyone is so over. Straight girl got panned as being awful and Straight GUy is completely fixed which ruins it for me. Not editing fixed but set up ahead of time fixed.

I forgot about America's Next Top Model. Last season rocked. I hearted Ann the Man. When is that coming on again?

and speaking of tv mysteries, where are Melissa and Joan? Shoudl Joan be on my death pool list? Star "get your party on girlfriend" Jones is unbearable.

  • Arrested Development
  • Battlestar Galactica
  • Lost
  • Project Runway
  • South Park
  • The Daily Show
  • Sealab 2021
I am currently caught up with

And that's only because it premiered on Friday and there's only one episode so far.

That's hardly Darwin at work. The guy's success in committing suicide efficiently (notwithstanding the redundancy of the notes) actually suggest that the outcome is anti-Darwinian. It's Darwin-ironic.

So I guess onbody is wathcing AI. I think that the only p;oint of that show is to post about it here the next day. If noone else watches, I am out.

I had to create a whole new Tivo list with the new tivo and have vowed to moderate myself (ie, no tivoing shows I have the DVD of like Office or SatC or Curb reruns). I have Austrailian Open (no spoilers please), Apprentice, Arrested Development, TAR, Daily Show, Dog Whisperer (best show on tv "the dog whisperer meets a Great Dane who is afraid of shiny floors"), AI, South Park and Seinfeld. I coudlnt get into desperate housewives but everyone says itsgreat so will try again. I eagerly await new seasons of SFU, Entourage, Da Ali G, Chappelle and Sopranos. Lord knows when any of these will come back.

There were 2, back to back.

The Rivers girls migrated to the TV Guide Channel. Yes, Virginia, there is such a thing. For the record, it's channel 176 on digital cable here in Podunkville -- between Home Shopping 4 and ESPN 8 ("the Ocho").

Brad/Jen/Angelina, Day The Next One

Brad and Angelina, getting cozy off camera. Story here.

1. Gawker's comment was spot-on: "If you look closely enough, we swear you can almost see their genitals connect."

2. "Star on Yahoo"??? Good lord. In jokes about brand dilution, "Star on Yahoo" isn't supposed to be the set-up to the punchline, it's supposed to be the punchline.
