Masco Corporation is a huge supplier of home building products. Most famous brand might be Delta faucets.

anyway it is owned by the original guy who started it ______ Manoogian. He put a big chunk of his fortune into an art collection. Most local art museun have a rotating portion of his collection at any one time.

Masco HQ is decorated with his stuff. It is a very large place, but his collection is so large that it is the art for all common areas. I walked to the top of a stairway at one point to a small meeting area- the area is littered in Remington bronzes.

My contact there tells the story of seeing a new painting down the hallway from his offcie. He's bugged because he knows he has seen it before, but can't remember where. When his daughter comes home from college for Thanksgiving break, he sees her history text. the painting is on the cover- "oh there it is."

Anyway, real art lovers would work there. I would probably wander around more and post less if I worked there.

The owner of Discount Tire Company is a huge collector of contemporary latin american art. A friend of mine is curating a show of his collection for the Museum of Fine Arts Houston. I'll send you an invitation for the opening.

I actually may be in Houston next summer. Maccabee is in Atlanta, houston and OC Cali. We don't know for sure where Detroit is going.

I wish Manoogian collected latin art or anything beyond basic American art. Or I would wish that if I worked there, for variety. I don't get to wander there that often, so the limited scope is okay.

He runs his stuff through a small gallery here

http://www.grandhotel.com/ and i see that every summer, but of course that is supposed to be limited to the 1880s America.

Maccabee has security. You'll need to provide identification for at least someone who can be sucurity checked.

As long as we don't list Shifter and/or Paigow as references.....

bejesus

Has anyone else lately had the crap scared out of them by a presentation on the new Federal Civil Procedure rules on eDiscovery?

I suspect I'm going to have to end up taking the IT guys out to lunch. Again. And I don't even do litigation.

A few bags of skittles and some 2-liter bottles of mountain dew and those IT guys will be your friends forever.
