Not at all, but my three-year-old begs to differ.

My answer to the sort-of-creepy poll question?

(It can't be anyone I've met IRL -- so don't go getting all offended GWNC...)

Atticus and Ty. Swoon.

Although since RT called dibs on Atticus, I guess it's you and me Ty! Shall we say 7:30?
RT will have to get by me first. AG's in love with my "media center."

In other news (and there is always other news)
Fantasia Barrino has changed her name to just "Fantasia." Which is good because her last name sounded like Burrito anyway, and she's bought a 5000sf/$500k house with her winnings and her first single "I believe" is out.

Fantasia

What's that, a skeletor for each of you? You are three lucky fellas! ("Fellas" in the generic sense, RP.)

Playing ketchup, and surprised this didn't get more attention here. This story is front page news here today.

In a nutshell, the current GOP candidate for US Senate in IL, Jack Ryan, was hit with a bombshell yesterday as court records were unsealed from his divorce from actress Jeri Ryan of Star Trek Voyager and Boston Public fame. In the filings, she accused him of taking her on three occasions to clubs where sex acts were being performed and of pressuring her to participate. She refused. He wasn't then, but now at least in a political sense, he's fucked.

Also noted in the filings, despite her very healthy acting income, she got $20 mil. worth of stock in his former employer Goldman Sachs in the deal... don't know what he kept, but sounds like he got fucked twice, because she admitted to infidelity.

On the bright side, Jack has a potential goldmine staring him in the face after he loses the election. Set up a booth at Star Trek Conventions and sign autographs for $10 a piece under a banner which reads "I Nailed Seven of Nine". If he throws in stories of what it's like to be with an actual woman, he would clean up with that crowd...

Other Ketchup Items

1. It does seem a bit creepy and stalkerish for guys to answer the "who would you nail sight unseen IRL" poll, whether it should or not...

2. Saw Bubba Ho-Tep on DVD over the weekend, and lived up to expectations... Don't fuck with The King.

3. To the Five Boroughs is decent, perhaps a little too angry and political for my taste. Like their fun stuff better. Played with The Sounds of Science best of collection back to back, it doesn't hold up well though. Need to go grab the new Wilco.

3. Mrs. Hand and the Little Fingers got me perhaps the coolest Father's Day present I've ever gotten... an X-Box (also have a PS2, so it's a bit of overkill, but still cool nonetheless). The oldest wanted me to teach him to play a suitable g-rated game I got for him, and I did my best though he's a bit young. He wanted to play while I was at work, so I showed Mrs. Hand how to start it up. Got home last night, very tired, and after asking the little guy what he did, he looks at me and deadpans "We played the video game today, but Mommy's not very good..." So cute.

What did you expect from the dude that wrote Waterworld and Arrival? Pitch Black was good, but one movie does not a good writer make. Even a busted clock is right once in a while.

I hope no one thinks this faggy, but I lust after a man. Given the hopelessness of ever meeting, what difference does the genital type make after all?

My crush can talk pleasantly to any of the posters- he can turn the mean nice. So many times when I've been down because some unreasonable gosh darn partner or client, his posts have a brought a smile- even oft-times a true giggle.

that's not to say it always sweet and lite! No my fave can be quite strident, but sometimes I want him to be rough! If punches shouldn't be pulled, he won't. If any of us, and sometimes I'm guilty, stray and get pompous of indulgent- who's among the first to call bullshit? that's right.

But what makes him most special is that after all that he's still a little shy and insecure. He lies about his height, as an example. He claims to be 6' 4" when he's really 5' 10". others might find that sad, but I find it endearing.

I think he's special.

A guitarist, formerly of Janes Addiction, then (and maybe still) of Chili Peppers.

In real life, Mathew St. Patrick is short. He's also cool enough to stand in line with the rest of us proles at Pink's while waiting for a chili dog.

Good dry cleaners are hard to find. I like places that do their dry cleaning on site. The quality tends to be a lot better than those places that send their stuff out to some big dry-cleaning factory in the burbs.

The one we go to also has the ingenious plan of hiring lots of cute, friendly high school girls to process all the orders and pick ups. They run around in skimpy shorts and tight t-shirts and are giggling and smiling constantly. It's a pleasant experience.

(Even thought I don't have kids, I'm getting to the age where typing that last paragraph made me feel a little squicky. Drats.)

I'm no luddite, though this question may suggest I am, but what's this friendster thing? I've heard people talk about it and I really don't know what it is.

PDA--O.K. or not O.K.?

Another morning, another train rant, apologies in advance.

So, the exit I need, when I plod off the train, there is a couple who obviously commute in to work together, and they stop before parting [blocking people, might I grouse] and kiss. Not a big sloppy kiss, but more lingering than a peck, kind of clingy if you will. This appears to be every day, because I need this particular exit--closer to my office.

I feel like a heel because I find this totally annoying. Like, you're in my way, you're not being considerate, and at 8 in the morning, I don't want to see kissy face, okay? And I'm not lonely or anything or bitter. I just do not subject other people to sucking face with Mr. PatPara in public. Do others find Public Displays of Affection annoying, or is it acceptable and I'm just a cranky pants, which is entirely possible also. Coffee, quick. Need coffee now.
