I forget the exact name, but it's a personal name, kind of Jewish sounding. They have them at Williams-Sonoma, but you can also frequently find them at your ordinary grocery store.

More generally, almost any Queen olive, stuffed with whatever you choose, is best. I particularly like a brand called Holsum.

I hope your gift is intended to be a small token. Unless you're planning on buying your friend a case of them, olives aren't terribly expensive.

It's a small token, and there will be vodka involved as well. I do not want ones soaked in vermouth as the attraction is the taste of olives after they've been in the vodka for a while.
