It's lame to keep her identity secret--we're obviously in on the secret, so why not let us see who she is and follow her around listening to all the catty comments, instead of having separate interviews where she reviews the bidding?

Anne Catherirse is dropdead smoldering sexy. Wow, even french canadians have that certain Jay Nah Say Kwah. and how drunk was everybody?
Huh? The Celine Dion voice kills her for me.

And maybe they can give him a wristband with all their names next time, so he doesn't fuck it up. 22 times he fucked up (or was that just the pre-ad previews being repeated ad nauseum?)

Real World: I've never hated anyone like I hate Frankie. Generally people who want to get away with cutting themselves don't cry out in the bathroom, walk out, drop the knife in front of their roommates, pick it up, walk over to the sink, and drop the knife in the sink. Attention whore! Christ.

I hate Frankie too. She is the poster child for girls with bangs and dark rimmed eyeglasses who think everyone else is as lame as they themselves unwittingly truly are. Is there anything more unoriginal than expressing your self perceived differentness through something that is just so the same? Add the piercings and the tattoos and you have the biggest cliche since str8 started joined sting's fan club to rip off the *fans*.

And in other RW observations, I dont know what job these kids have on Stars and Stripes, but working on the America's Cup ten meter boat in San Diego does not look like a job that sucks.

and Randy is fucking sexy.

My mother gave me some allegedly really good luggage last year for Xmas. I looked at her and said "Thanks." I was thinking "Luggage? Are you fucking serious? I'm a male in my thirties and you've bought me overpriced BAGS for my shit?"

I still use an old vinyl garment bag they gave my dad at some golf tournament 20 years ago. I never worry about finding my shit on the luggage carousel. It says "(Golf Course Name) Member- Guest 1985". As far as I can tell, it holds clothing just as effectively as the bags mom bought me.

Great advice! Can I have the luggage from your momma that you're not using?

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.

Red Shoes

I told her that before she takes them back, I would do some "research" for her. So, what would you wear these with?

None of her red tops match the shoes.
Now, I've never actually sported the following look, but have seen it on others, and thought it looked rather smart.

All black outfit -- red shoes. (May be a bit outre, but live a little!)

I have worn shoes with red on them (not all red) with predominantly brown outfits and predominantly camel-colored outfits as well. Looks good. Sounds like the shoe she bought would go best with brown trousers, as opposed to a skirt, because they sound a little va-va-voom for the office (unless she is a stripper or something, then anything goes, I suppose). I could be wrong about that, but I'm sure Mrs.R knows best.

(I'm BACK! Did anybody miss me?? I missed me, anyway.)

You know, on some level, I find that even more disturbing than the "Book of British Smiles" teeth posted a page or so back. Assuming that photo isn't a fake (which is a pretty big assumption, I suppose), if you've got the money to encrust diamonds all over your teeth -- why not just pay to fix your ugly-ass teeth?

This spring/summer, she can wear them with just about anything; bright color combinations are very in. I've had some good sucess wearing red accessories with light blue, and with (yes, really) orange. I was also told by a friend rather into the highly over intellectualized art scene here that my combination of red slingbacks and bag with a hot pink suit was "ballsy and really sophisticated." Ballsy I'd agree with, but the sophisticated I would have thought ludicrous if I didn't trust this person absolutely on all matters visual and cool - but apparently.

The "red with some other random and unexpected color" does take some balls though, and it is easier to start with mixing the red shoes with all black, all neutrals, etc. If she has a khaki suit, the red shoes with that and a white shirt would look particularly fresh this summer. But red/white, red/beige, red/glen plaid all have definite potential to look striking and put together. She could consider getting a belt or watchband to match, which would help hold the whole thing together.

Also nice for summer - some fluffy/floaty summer dress with a patern on it that includes red will fit the bill. Doesn't need to be anything fancy (particularly since the shoes sound like they can work either as dress or more informal shoes), just anything pretty with red in it.

Consider renting 9 1/2 weeks. I bought my first pair of red heels after seeing that movie - Mickey Rourke's secretary wears red heels with a black pencil skirt and black hose in one scene, which, to my HS self just seemed the height of cool.

Also on the topic of odd colors to mix and match - yesterday I saw on the street a slim older woman (short silver hair, but her face looked late 40s) wearing all black (skirt suit, shoes & coat) with pale aqua tights and a white and aqua scarf at her neck. She looked just wonderful, and I'd never have believed tights that color could look chic. I was so surprised I almost stopped to congratulate her.

1. It's more disturbing in a different way.
2. The photo is not a fake.
3. Why do you assume there is something wrong with his teeth? There isn't. He's just a fucking moron, obsessed with flashing his wealth. They're fronts, anyway, I'm sure, which means he can take them off when he's in certain neighborhoods.
4. No, I have no idea who that is.
