Yesterday, my gf and I were approached by two bubbly women who wanted to know if we would like to be the focus of some new reality show for A&E, where they would follow us around 24/7. They asked us some questions about our relationship and then told us that we would have to have either (i) some conflict that needed to be resolved or (ii) a problem taking our relationship to the next level. They almost seemed disappointed when I told them we didn't have those issues. If I had it, I would have given them mmmmm457890's number and a synopsis of his crack-head girlfriend's money/disappearing/substance abuse issues.

I bet you would have watched that, paigow.

Yeah, but my Tivo and I thought it was only one. We were tricked into being caught up. I think we're about a dozen episodes behind in Lost. There've only been two Alias episodes this season, and I'm already behind.

And she needed to be caught up on the whole preceding mini-series, too.

BR(got caught up during the marathon this weekend - it is actually pretty good, and, though the Mr. thinks I am a heretic for saying so, I thought the original sucked ass)C

ANyway, this week brings us American Idol, another APprentice and another Survivor. I am starting to feel very been there done that about all three enterprises. And a taping conflict between AI and TAR raises the issue, do I really need to see another season of AI? Do we? SHould we just skip the first couple of episodes where Fox tries to recapture the William Hung glory and tapes a bunch of bad singers and we get to see Randy cover his face and Paula try to look neutral and Simon say something quippy but about as clever as that Weakest Link lady. What do people who have watched this drivel in the past think? can we ever regain the excitement of Clay v Ruben? SHould we just start watching when we are down to the top ten or however many it is?
The audition episodes are the only ones worth watching. Sure, they'll try to manufacture some William Hung moments, and you get the goofballs who perform deliberately bad in an attempt to appear on national tv, but the auditions are what the show is all about. At least there is some measure of sponteneity. The rest of the show is local dinner theater talent performing stale pop tunes. It's like attending talent show night at the local high school, only with better production values.

and what about the apprentice? I personally cannot stand Trump, his product placements, his self flagellation and now his wedding. I certainly don't want to add to his fortune. ANd last season's finale has left a gaping gash on my attention span. They really should space these shows out , so they are annual. Is anyone gonna watch?

The problem with this show is the same as the others as the finales have been increasinly tedious and predictacble. and survivor's problem is that while it gets good midseason, the first six or so episodes are extremely boring unless you have a bitchy gay guy or a team of hot lesbos. but you have to watch them to get familiar with the characters. I don;t know what to do.
Survivor has been boring since the first season. The show has become infected with the Hatch lingo. The contestants all talk about "The Game" with the reverance that a D&D nerd has for a 32nd level wizard. It's like an Amway meeting without the overpriced toilet paper.

so who is watching what and why? is anyone watching any new reality shows like wickedly perfect? I am not.
I like Pittsburgh and Atlanta in the Super Bowl. And former MNF sideline "reporter" Lisa Guerrero was reporting all the sizzling action from the star-studded HBO Golden Globes party. Despite her golden globes, she really didn't do much better there than on MNF. I remember her observing one actor from that HBO Western series that things were so different on HBO because "you can, you know, cuss."

2. "Star on Yahoo"??? Good lord. In jokes about brand dilution, "Star on Yahoo" isn't supposed to be the set-up to the punchline, it's supposed to be the punchline.
Your post implies that the photo is from their off-camera activities, but the story itself does not (although it does contain a grating grammatical error). The clothes they're wearing make that look like a still from the movie -- Brad appears to be wearing a scarf of some sort! Egad!

There does appear to be some chemistry between them, but they are actors.

Did they get to keep the head? That would be cool.

I would never have thought of doing it that way. I'm impressed. Did he prepare a matrix of different methods and the pros/cons?

You can be out, but I am going to watch it. I kind of like Trump after watching these shows. I always knew he was an egotistical, blow-hard, wind-bag, self-important dork, but at least now, he's a somewhat likeable egotistical, blow-hard, wind-bag, self-important dork.

And this season, it will be interesting to see how the educated vs. the street-smart thing plays out. It always amazes me that Trump goes so deep into the person's background when making his final decision. If I were the black guy on the last show, I would have said, "If you weren't going to hire me because I have too much education, why the fuck was I wasting all my time with these bullshit tasks in the first place?

Does anyone watch Extreme Makeover, Home Edition? Now, that's a great show. Guilt-free bubble gum tv. They pick these people who are dealing with the hardest shit possible (like some disease that requires them to crawl on all fours), who live in the absolute worst places you can think of and they give them new $3 million houses. In the top five best shows on tv.
