The card conversion? Maybe (actually, probably, assuming I don't lie about how the card was revised to enable the access).
The reception of signals that are already in my home? There may be a good reason nobody is charged with this stuff.

And I've never lost in court ;>) Imagine the tears you'd surely see when I brought out the "is it also wrong to bottle the aroma of the cookie factory next-door when it wafts through my window" argument? You holy rollers wouldn't stand a chance.

Hello
Dude, take your weak-ass game back to politics.

You're a thief, and no post-hoc justification will change that.

Take away reason and accountability, no? While I'm sure we all agree with the conclusion, it seems that *some* people cannot explain how we get there.

But thanks for playing ms pile-onner.

Good point.

And your avatar has taken over my life. I can't not look at it.

So, here's a question: Who was hotter in their respective high-school-coming-of-age-titty-movie? Phoebe Cates in Fast Times at Ridgemont High:

or Shannon Elizabeth in American Pie?:

(Google Shannon Elizabeth for some great skin pics)

I think Shannon Elizabeth is objectively hotter. But Phoebe Cates' body back then was so far above every other woman's (surgery just had not evolved to the levels we currently enjoy) that she gets the nod. Perfection.

Excellent addition. And given that they're a live band and have numerous influences, Atticus would probably dig them. My bad they didn't pop to mind right away.

My doorman informed me that our building doesn't allow satellite tv. So that fucking blows. Directv needs to have a big dish on top of the building that everyone can just hook into instead of these individual dishes. It's just logistically impossible to put them all on the roof and the building would never agree to mounting them outside your window.

That said, it costs an additional $300 - $900 for an HDTV receiver. And with the cost of the dish and all the high-end cables and shit, it's like $500 to $1200 extra. I think if I could do it, I might, simply because ESPN has an HDTV channel (that Time Warner apparently doesn't see as important to it's New York based clients). But damn.

As does Ms. Cates. So I pick her.

Do you even need to ask for my vote on this one?

Shannon Elizabeth is hot and everything, but Phoebe's "performance" in Fast Times is a generational event for red-blooded males who came of age in the early to mid 80's... Shannon's just doesn't quite get to that level...

Now hearing that Vegas police may become involved in executing the Michael Jackson arrest warrant this morning...

Not that you care what she talks about, but she was on local radio this morning complaining about how hard she works and how being famous isn't all it is cracked up to be. I changed the station.

Edit - it should be obvious that I was referring to Shannon Elizabeth, but just in case...

HDTV is really cool... Just got it about a month ago through Comcast (yeah, digital cable, I know...) with the receiver rental of $5 a month. Only about 15-20 channels broadcasting in it right now, but that includes all of the locals plus ESPN, basic HBO and Showtime...

Picture is amazing, especially for sports programming and the nature/tourism specials filmed in HD that they show on one of the demonstration channels...

Downside -- I really don't need an HD closeup of the surgically altered moonscapes that are some local news anchors' faces...

Shannon's not really all that hot. Great body. OK face.

Phoebe by a quart.
