Maybe if you think of spending a Sidecar buzz sitting in a bar on Christoper Street listening to middle-aged, perfectly tanned dudes in leather exchanging unsolicited fellatio war stories, with Cher providing the soundtrack, it will spontaneously re-attach itself.

A crowded room, friends with tired eyes
I'm hiding from you and your soul of ice
My God I thought you were someone to rely on
Me? I guess I was a shoulder to cry on
A face of a lover with a fire in his heart
A man undercover but you tore me apart
Now I've found a real love you'll never fool me again
Last Christmas I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year to save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special

Maybe this should be on Politics, but I was reading this article about Iran banning Western music and came across this paragraph:
- Songs such as George Michael's "Careless Whisper," Eric Clapton's "Rush" and the Eagles' "Hotel California" have regularly accompanied Iranian broadcasts, as do tunes by saxophonist Kenny G.
If this was my exposure to Western music, I think I would support the ban.

Re the time shares, I wouldn't do one for the reasons that NCS stated. I like to go different places, and I could never be sure that I could swap my week (unless you knew you had the TITS place in Hawaii or something).
That said, the last time I was there, this "swinger" couple hit on the girl I was with at El Squid Roe (but they didn't want me involved), which was vastly amusing to watch.

NFH has retired, so I guess I've got to step up to the plate.
- In seriousness, I do feel obliged to at least take a peek at the Cabo nightlife while I'm here. If only for the sake of completeness. So, I drive back, park the car at my hotel, and walk into the heart of the tourist quarter.
Thankfully, the touts tend to ignore me, even as they hassle the other gringos no end. There's something about my face, it seems, that suggests I am unlikely to purchase a tequila-themed tank top. I wander past Cabo Wabo, past the Hard Rock Café, even past the Giggling Marlin … and step into the legendary El Squid Roe.
It's like a thunderdome of binge drinking and sexual aggression. Two floors of vomit-encrusted plywood. Margaritas served in yard-long tubes.
If I drink enough, I figure, I will start to feel at home. So, I'm pounding away. Around me, the place fills up with gaggles of shrieking women in halter tops and enormously paunchy men in polo shirts embroidered with the names of their cabin cruisers. Cabo has perhaps the world's highest concentration of white people in pleated shorts.
The DJ, for his part, is only playing songs that I hate. The dance floor is a Hieronymus Bosch triptych. It's not that I'm against hedonism and excess—quite the contrary, in fact. It's just that I'd rather not watch these arts practiced by a mob of unattractive chuckleheads. When "YMCA" surges through the sound system and everyone screams with delight, I can take no more. Adieu, horrific nightclub dystopia. I weave tipsily through the streets and back to my room.

Fault my flawed memory. Hell, I probably talked to that person about it too.
From the owners at poolside (and yeah, I spent most of my time at Sunset), it seemed like you could do all sorts of things with your time share. If you bought there, you could trade with any other of the most elite properties at who knows how many locations world-wide. And if you figure out how all that works, instead of paying for a hotel room in Bermuda or whatever, you would be staying at a one bedroom ridiculous suite like the one at Sunset. It sounds like a lot of energy, but if you or someone you know likes to plan like that, your rooms would be so much nicer wherever you went than if you just used hotels.
Plus, I was told that although Hawaii and Cabo are not really the same as far as how nice the locations are, they are the only two locations where you can trade one week there for two weeks elsewhere. That's why it's really hard to tell if it's worth the up-front money, because you don't know what you've really got until you figure out how to work the system. Trade one week, bank another, sell another outright, etc.
At the very least, it was a learning experience. If I lived on the west coast and went to Cabo once a year, I would get a two bedroom every other year. Hell, if you didn't want to go for two years straight, you could bank your weeks for another longer vacation or trade 'em for another spot.
The biggest drawback is that the people who afford them tend to be older, which puts a bit of a damper on pool time, although it keeps my wandering eyes from getting me in trouble.

Clearly, they're relying on inhouse counsel to be proactive, and establish non-calendar fiscal quarters for said subsidiary.
