That only works if they ask you questions. Last time I was picked for jury duty the only question I answered was the one about whether anyone was a lawyer. They asked me what kind of law I practiced and made sure it wasn't criminal. I was shocked that I had to sit in a week-long trial for child molestation.
Of course, anyone who claimed to have been molested was dismissed, but there were a bunch of those already and it felt wrong to lie about something like that when the woman next to me went up to the judge in tears. Maybe if I had said I do some white collar stuff in connection with the securities I would have been dismissed.

Got a bit hosed on the running back front, but I did manage to pick up some guy with a weird first name for my quarterback. Peyton something? He's supposed to be good, right?
*memories...

I believe he's somehow related to that Eli guy you're so fond of. Who, if you get a chance, dump him from your fantasy team if they penalize you for interceptions. Because that really hurt me last year. Eli, not Peyton.
I got hosed on Wide Receivers. There are a lot of question marks this year. Like TO.

That's what happened to my boss. She ended up on a criminal jury for a wife battering case, and the fact that she once worked for a battered womans shelter held no sway at voir dire because they lost so many potential jurors on the "has anyone been battered" question.
I just hope that somehow medical records are involved in whatever trial I end up in.
My sister used "I don't think I could ever send anyone to jail" once pretty effectively.

Every June or so I get hit for over $500, but I think that at least half of that is my "Attorney Occupation Tax". Nice.

I'm exempt from having to pay that one.
I guess I have been licensed for over five years, so I am paying whatever the max is for dues. Hmm. That's much scarier than turning 40.

My out of date tribute to daysleeper. I left it up there because the picture is an early one of the Chicklet doing her newborn wake up routine that involved lots of stretching, grimacing and thrashing, and upon contemplation, it looked like she might have been impersonating a T-rex as well.

CMS might have some reg regarding contracting with persons with certain things on their records or more likely he may just have to disclose the same to it.
I had a client in a similar situation, not a doctor, but owner of a recipient of CMS reimbursements, although the infraction was a little more problematic, but in no way related to patient care, billing or financial fraud etc etc., i.e. things that CMS would be directly concerned about.

Unfortunately, while it took less than 3 hours to convict him, some of the other jurors wanted to give the bastard probation!?!?! I talked them up to 17 years, but it was the best I could do. I wanted to give the guy 40, but no way was that going to fly.
