Actually, you are. Your post was the FB joke equivalent of calling me stupid, right? I was just being a brick wall and letting that bounce off of me so I could make my own stupid joke. Bc I am stupid.

I feel very tense today for some reason. I am gonna hit the gym and light up a sultana candle while applying some of the swag to my face and body. Aaaaaaaaaaaah

you want to explain how someone who gave Judd Nelson the starring role can claim someone else was too coked up to do their job?

You are a sick woman.

zesty, do us all a favor and when he kicks you out of bed right after the sex and asks you to leave his apartment, just do it. No whining or bitching, and definitely don't tell him that you are a JAP so he should trust you to be alone in his apartment.

He had the wisdom to give Gary Busey all the best lines in "D.C. Cab." And this was when Busey was Vanilla --- before anyone realized he was actually Banilla.

Do we have anyone left in Dallas?

Friend of mine is playing at the North Texas New Music Festival in Dallas next weekend. Tickets are $10. 230 bands in 12 venues.

If you go, look for Chris Knudson's set on Saturday night at Club Dada Patio.

Mister Pine's Purple House.

I am going to be stuck on an airplane for several hours in a week or two, and need something to read other than briefs and five month old copies of the ABA Journal and Lowenthal's Collected Slip and Fall Slip (Hah!) Opinions.

Any suggestions? Fiction or non-fiction is fine. No Ayn Rand or books by people who yell on TV for a living.

Thanks!

Have you ever read anything by Jasper Fforde? A few of us on the board have raved about his Tuesday Next series. I'm reading The Big Over Easy right now, the first novel in his new series. It's not as dark and depressing as the stuff you seem to enjoy, but it's a fun and entertaining read.

Chuck Palahniuk. Anything. Fight Club is the most famous, but Stranger than Fiction is a great book of true stories. Choke is a great novel as is Lullaby. The others I'm still moving through.

He's a bit off, but if you liked Fight Club you'll like the other books, and they aren't macho fighting. The plots are always just really unique.

If dark is more to your taste, the best book I've read recently is Scribbling the Cat by Alexandra Fuller. She's a fabulous writer and it's a very interesting (nonfiction) story. As a bonus, you can learn all kinds of Southern African slang.
