Dirty clothes + dryer heat + forcing air through clothes = very stinky. Don't do it, sunny. Esp. not with horse blankets.

Now I'm all hot and bothered about the dryer. Look at all those clothes in it! I'd never be wrinkley if I had that dryer.

Seriously, bunny, you should probably spring for a front loader. I wonder if front-loading washers vibrate as much as those with agitators during the spin cycle.

Yes, I'm totally with you on this...but does anyone have a front loader with more than a 3.7 cu. ft. capacity? That was the biggest I saw at sears and it didn't seem that big. I want more CAPACITY. BIGGER IS BETTER. I can't wait until my dryer dies and I get to replace it too!

With a front loader, you don't need that much capacity because there's no agitator taking up space. I have an Asko set and have no complaints about the size. Granted I'm not washing horse blankets, but the Asko website says you can fit as many as 14 full-size towels in it (I've never counted).

I love them because they save on water and electricity, and get my clothes so clean. They can shake the whole house if they're off-balance when they start spinning, but they'll give up and try again if that happens.

I would suggest taking a horse blanket to the appliance store and seeing if it will fit.

I recently saw In America, also, and really liked it. Those girls are amazing. I also really liked a different view of TCOTU than I got when I arrived in the early 90s and pretty much Manhattan-wide gentrification was already well under way. What neighborhood was their building supposed to be in?

I also recently watched The Girl with a Pearl Earring, which wasn't as good but featured a breathtakingly smoldering performance by Colin Firth. Hamana hamana, as dtb would say.

Then there was The Triplets of Belleville, which I really really really liked.

Next up: The Life of Brian, City of God and Topsy-Turvy. Damn I love the library.
