I went to a Moth event in LA and thought of you. Apparently here at least 80% of the audience/speakers are writer/actor/standup comedian types.

Each city is unique- the 2 LA (actually one Santa Monica one LA) ones I have seen the storytellers were heavily stand up. Unusual. to win it is about laughs overall. Most other places not so much. The one time I got called I did my "friend killed himself," which did not go over too well. {sad face}

The place where they used to hold a Santa Monica one closed down, so now there's one in Los Feliz (Los Globos) and one in LA. I went to the LA one at Busby's on Wilshire. They might not have had that one going when you came through.

It has a "Smoke on the Water" quality to it. Idiot simple repetition. "Black Math" moved around a lot more.

"Ball and Biscuit," however, has surprised me as the WS tune most used in advertisements.
