So, it is amebiasis, as the Yankees are publicly claiming, or is it fallout from going off the juice?

Isn't amebiasis best transmitted through an activity that MR gets his nickname from?

Don't know -- but they had it in the papers here that he was afraid it was cancer (or at least, that they hadn't ruled cancer out, and it was one of the things they were attempting to rule out with the latest battery of tests.) I know everyone says it's because he's going off the 'roids (I can't get away with that, can I?), but he's been out for too long for that to be the [only] cause, I would think.
So now, about Six Feet Under. Unlike most people, I didn't hate last week's episode. It was disturbingly violent, but I didn't think it was as bad as TWOP (for example) would have people think. The end was startling and really left an impression.
As for this week's episode, before going into particulars (why waste all that typing if no one is going to respond?), did anyone else see/like it? I did both. I liked it very much. The Brenda story line is pretty boring, but I really like the rest of it -- even the Rico bits.

As I understand it, the theory is that he and Kevin Brown may have ingested a parasite when they ate at a sushi restaurant in Japan during the season opening series againts the Devil Rays.

When I first read this, I thought it said Kevin Bacon and I could not for the life of me figure out what Jason Giambi and Kevin Bacon would be doing together in Japan.

I was not enamored of last week's episode, because I was afraid it was just another senseless subplot that would go unresolved and remain unaddressed. After last night's episode, I no longer think that is the case.
If the family continues on the course of drawing back together, then last week's episode will have reversed a dangerous entropy that was threatening to pull the whole thing apart. Bringing Nate back into the business, and bringing David closer with Clare were both good steps.
The Brenda business has to be resolved in more dramatic a fashion thatn simply she and he break up. Theirs was the encounter that drew us in in the first place.
And I hated George from the beginning. Anything that hastens his departure is a good thing in my book.
The only wasted scene in the whole episode was Clare and Mena Suvari rolling around on the grass together. Why did they leave their shirts on? Why, Bilmore, why?

Has everybody already seen this?
Song by Bush and Kerry. I put it on FB because I am lazy and have no interest in entertaining the Politics Board today. All partisan replies should be posted over there though. Cause I don't give a fuck about your political views. Or because they could dilute the thrilling discussion here today.* Or something.

Even now I am completing my email to the head of my department, justifying funds from the client development budget for a trip to Austin sometime mid-September-ish.
It will take some creative writing, but fortunately motivation is not an issue.

I think that the co-eds e/o was talking about reserve their favors for those who rush for over 1,000 yards a season for the Longhorns.
But, all is not lost. At the football factory land grant college I attended, a few lines of blow and late-model BMW worked almost as well with attractive co-eds from certain sororities.
