No - but we did go out on the town together and he wore a dress. Somehow I just don't think he would fit in at one of your dinner parties.

Spanky has now replaced ppnyc as the poster whose posts I am least likely to read.
If you put me on ignore you won't have to scroll past all my posts. I highly recommend it.

Memo to PPNYC and Spanky

PatentPara: If you play your cards right,* Spanky has given you a great opportunity to pull yourself out of the hole you've been digging.

*And by "play your cards right" I mean self-edit the heck out of your posts and don't get yourself into pissing matches with other posters.

Spanky: Please please please go back to posting about strippers, models in Japan, and A List Actors who stumble into your hotel room wanting to buy drugs and leave all the lengthy political screeds for the PB.

NFH 100% right, me 100% wrong

About Kirsten Dunst's teeth. That is way, way disturbing.

I hate this retort. It's moronic.

It reminds me of when I was in high school and I got into an argument with my boyfriend. I remember standing in the stairwell, my hands on my hips, saying to him "If you can't get along with me, well, I think that is just your problem." And then I turned on my heel, flounced down the stairs and out into the parking lot.

It makes me cringe that I ever said it. And I was like 15 at the time.

Wait, so you dated Spanky in high school? What was it that attracted you to him? The big floppy red shoes and squirting lapel flower?

Me love you Fugee. And, like NFH, I am doing the cabbage patch in my chair.

I note when you click on "forums" and "replies" hank has now surpassed me in # of responses. Watchtower, I am so sorry but I must disagree with you that it is "not" working it is. I'm limiting my # of posts and trying not to fight.

Note to RP: let the record state I feel that Lester and Spanky's 40something stripper chasing and inability to commit on whatever level is lame [only inasmuch as they try to tout it as cool, dudes, it is so over.] So I am an equal oppty for both male and female posters.

Whhhy are people not intuitive? My boss is very very sick with a bad flu. So his underling swung by and stopped by me to ask well, where is he? um, he's very very sick. and he says well, I've noticed. so if you have noticed...wouldn't it make sense he would be a little late? so I said "you know, since he's not feeling well, he might be a bit/tad late" I'm all about spelling it out. that is where I get the translator bit. I do it.all.day.long.

People don't say the same thing about men because it doesn't devalue a man in the same way to have failed to win women's affection. Women, not men, have their worth defined by the esteem of the opposite sex. What women really want is for men to like them.

Does this make you sexist? I wouldn't go that far. But to deny that this is what's going on down there in the subtext is just being obtuse.
Once upon a time, patentpara tried to goad me by suggesting that I was unattractive, alone, childless (and, given the first two points, obviously not by choice), did not work in a big law firm (oh woe!), and lacked a distinctive online persona. She did not say any of those things to Taxwonk.

That's downright profound for a 15-year old girl. That's when y'all are at your craziest.

Spanky is single, childless and does not have a traditional professional career. But some of the shit he gets is because of things that flow from those things.

Yeah, but Lester thinks "contumacious" means "unable to achieve an erection."
