With your past, I would have thought you were a regular at these things.

This has already become more intolerable than Barbaro. The guy is alive, but in critical condition. If he lives, he won't give up his seat for two years, even if he's in the hospital the entire time and even if he can't eat, drink, piss, or think for himself. If he dies, let us know then.

On the other hand, Princess Di didn't anger MI5 and Q.E. 2. That's news, baby!

I had forgotten that Biden was out of action for seven months with aneurysms (plural!) in 1988. So there are precedents. Hell, look at Strom Thurmond during his last term. Though he was ambulatory.

Awards moved from the Venetian to the Mandalay Bay.
We're staying across the casino floor at THEHotel.

Ouch:
The only time I have ever seen anypart of the View was that Danny Devito clip, so my information on the show is pretty limited, but isn't it like a Hollywood gossip show? Kind of like E news daily or something? I am sure that Joyce Behar knows a lot more about Lindsay Lohan or Jessica Simpson than most people do.
Can you really expect someone like Ryan Seacrest to know anything about politics? How smart would the guys and gals on the news hour look if they started talking about the new winter fashions? My guess is there knowledge would be pretty limited. I know mine would be. But my guess is this Behar woman knows where hem lines are supposed to be right now.

Good to know. Mandalay is not full yet, but The Hotel is. Venetian should be relatively porn-star free then? I'm not sure I'm quite up for staying at the awards hotel. Though a field trip or two will definitely be in order.

We don't need to read that Pynchon crap (hi Ty!). Not with this stuff in the newspaper.
I remain convinced that Di escaped into the hollow earth with the help of the great-great-grandchild of Scarsdale Vibe.

I know that when you say "porn-star" you mean "Spanky".

Naaaayyy! This guy is toast. Assuming he lasts the weekend, odds are, at his age, he's strapped down in a nursing home for the next couple years before the e coli from the feces he'll be lying in all day make him fatally septic.
While ultimately America wins, for a D he was a lot better than most. For me, I don't believe there was any divine intervention here. When the almightly God decides its judgment day for the traitors to His cause, his justice will be delivered to some far more deserving sinners. I for one would avoid standing too close to any Senators from Mass or NY.

Barbaro is a republican? Huh. Is he mad that the donkey symbol of the democrats is somewhat mocking towards equines?

By and by, the Good Lord may need an angel or two to help carry out his will. I'm sure there are many such angels in South Dakota.

Do you really think that the Dems will let Johnson out of their sight? It's not like Johnson's kids went to high school in SD--the whole family may as well be Virginians at this point.

Exactly--they'll move half of all federal spending to S.D. if necessary to stop the citizenry from complaining about the lack of representation.

It's not like you can get many direct flights from D.C. to Sioux Falls, let alone Vermillion.
