I hate to be a stickler but Poughkeepsie is not exactly upstate.

eta: Hell, Mahopac might as well be Danbury.

Sure it is. Anything north of Westchester is upstate.

[Actually, anything north of 96th street is upstate, but we won't go there]

I liked "regards" for its coldness and impersonality.

I think platinum is the way to go.
This is fascinating. Was this for letters or for e-mails (or both)? I'm relatively sure that any official attempt to control my e-mail sign offs would be followed relatively quickly with a decision by me to retire from firm life. But I'm not far from that decision now, so that is not saying much.

Honey, my boyfriend lives in Rochester at the moment and I went to school in Syracuse. I'm pretty sure I'll go there.

Predicted response, from anyone: "Condolences."

What I like are the automatic signatures with "regards" built right in. It sometimes comes off as so incongruous. A partner that I used to work for had an automatic "regards." He was fond of getting all worked up about something in an email and then the "regards" would look like he magically cooled down. For example:

"What can they possibly mean by that!!! They're crazy!!! Totally full of crap!

Regards,
[my boss]"

That can also lead to the double sign off.

Dear Sir:

Your client's position is utterly preposterous.

Speaking of that, have you done the calculations as to how much you would need as cushion in order to "retire?" I can adjust for Northern/Southern col differences. Because my current retirement plan of winning the lottery before I say "fuck you" to my current situation is losing to my current desire just to say "fuck you" anyway. Unemployment may help some, but not much really.

Send me your speadsheet, OK?

Best,

NFH

I do not believe that Colin Powell is an anti-Semite, or feels entitled to make anti-Semitic comments. I have absolutely no idea, however, what goes through Condi Rice's head, and have long since stopped listening to a thing she says.
God, you're stupid. It's pathetic how stupid you are. You must single, unloved, and work for a prepaid legal plan. Stupidhead.

K-Fed

K-Fed using the last 30 seconds of his 15 minutes wisely.

Federline met Kendra Jade, an “exotic dancer” and former porn star, in Las Vegas in December 2005 while his wife was visiting her family in Kentwood, Louisiana, according to Star magazine, and the two stayed in touch.

“Kev and Kendra had sex at their friends’ apartment multiple times, starting in early October,” a source told the tab. “Their friend would phone Kendra and a few other girls to come hang out, and it would always end up with Kevin and Kendra heading off to the spare bedroom!”

Now that K-Fed is a single guy, will he and Jade become a couple? Not likely, says the source, explaining, “They’re just friends who have sex.”

When contacted for comment by Star, Jade said only, “I’m in a committed relationship.”

Next up, Kendra Jade pregnant with K-Fed's super sperm.

This pic shows nothing, but is suggestive. If it is too suggestive for work purposes, I will delete.

Are you planning on retiring on Mt. Everest?
