That Ebel is nice. Not in stock right now though. I'm waiting to hear back from my watch bookie about what kind of price I can get the Tag for. If the price isn't right, I might investigate Ebels further.

I'm buying the watch with inheritance money. So I want something that will be timeless (ha!) and the price point isn't quite as important as having something that I really like that won't be out of style next year. I think the Tag fits the bill.

(As an aside, the chaise, which was also bought with inheritance money is stunning. And it makes for a good spare bed in a pinch.)

I thought the Benton was rather similar. That's why I noted it in the link.

Although if you are going for something timeless, I'd spend a few thousand more and buy something that truly is timeless, like a Patek, Baume & Mercier, or a Zenith. A Tag is not likely to last 15 years. Any of the other watches I mentioned above will last for generations.
