Apropos of boots, I was talking the other day with a late 20s/early 30s client who lives in TCOTU, and she told me that she finally broke down last year and bought a pair of waterproof boots (I forget the brand -- one of those outdoorsy ones). Previously, she used to wear Doc Martins or combat boots and mock the "fashion victims" who wore ugly footwear. Then she got tired of numb toes.

Tags are for 23 year olds who get their first bonus check and divorced middle aged men who think they make them look young (or don't know any better).
Why buy a fucking $2k Tag when you can get an Omega for the same price? Shit, you can snag a low end Brietling for a little more than that. Brietling vs. Tag is like Miami vs. Miami of Ohio.

Well, I'm convinced.
Tara Reid has launched another salvo in her valiant campaign to rehabilitate her table-dancing, wild child image, with her latest PR efforts focusing on her heretofore-unknown high IQ.
"I am a very smart girl, and people don't realize that," the bare breast-brandishing starlet declares to the New York Post, which snarkily titles its article, "Look How Smart I Am!" "People think I am America's party girl, which is just stupid. I have done 24 movies and I am creating my own TV show."
"I think people are going to believe me in that character and see I am capable of diversity," she says of the role, which requires her to stretch her acting chops by donning nerdy glasses and wearing her hair in a tight bun.
As for the future, Tara, 29, hopes to one day settle down, perhaps with a gold, bald guy named Oscar. "It would be the ultimate dream for me to win an Academy Award, be in love and have kids," she says wistfully (come on, knock off the giggles). "Then I would say, 'Life is great! I have done everything I wanted.' I keep trying to get closer to that. I also think when that happens, people will finally leave me alone."

That franchise is more fucked than Arthur Treacher's. I have the whole Bond collection on digital cable on-demand. I watched bits and pieces of all of them over the last few weeks. Its getting worse by the year. they should have killed it after View to a Kill.

Stylish boots
AnneElk and I have the same problem with incredibly muscular calves (below the knee kind, not the mooing kind) which prevent us (at least me) from wearing fashionable boots. At least anything above ankle height. Any tips for us?

One is a stomping ground for convicts and the other is a historical university with a gorgeous campus that was founded before Florida was a state?

I wonder if she is as smart as Sharon Stone (allegedly with an IQ of 154).

Well, she already was Bunny Lebowski and she banged Phillipooussis, forever ruining him for me. She should just be thankful for small favors, call it a day and go back to her homeland of Jersey.

Hey, I think that she looks good in that picture.
And my personal favorite in the "no way!" movie occupation category is Nicole Kidman as a brain surgeon in Days of Thunder. While I have seen hot doctor chicks, Nicole was just waaaaay too young to be believable.
