Downstairs were segmented with dividers.

Why would that be odd? The place barely had heat. Dividers are expensive.

It's pronounced Wong.

Not as bad as last year the commentator saying "Yao Ming" and making some comment about him being Japanese.

In reality, I realize that even if I had a time machine, I probably wouldn't go there, and if I did, I'd find myself showering alone a lot. I can't imagine many attractive women would use such facilities.

I went to a college where at least one dorm (a "co-op") had communal showers. There was even an article on it in the student paper. Suffice to say, the pictures that accompanied the article didn't make all the guys run to sign up to live in that dorm.
