You have to throw in some of this, too:

Tour Epilogue

Some may recall, in last Friday's stage, that eyebrows were raised when Lance left the peloton to chase down a rider who was no threat when this rider attempted an escape to a small breakaway group. It turns out that the escaping rider, Simeoni, wants to sue Lance because Lance called him a liar after he testified in Italy against a sports doctor who allegedly is pro-doping. Once Lance joined Simeoni in the escape group, the other riders in the escape knew they had no chance of getting away if Lance was with them (the peloton would never let Lance go), so they yelled at Simeoni, Simeoni and Lance exchanged words, and they both fell back to the peloton. Back in the peloton, Lance was congratulated, and some riders had harsh words for Simeoni, causing him to hide in the back of the peloton.

Now, Italian official are considering opening an investigation or even bringing charges against Lance for intimidation of a witness:

I don't really see it.

There is nothing more exciting than a tight, fast peloton, packed with throbbing legs, glistening sweat, and heavy breathing.

In other tdF news, '98 winner Pantani's February death was just ruled an accidental cocaine overdose, according to yesterday's cyclingnews.com, but on the bright side, no doping substances were found in his bone marrow.

Oh, God, yes. We're talking about a totally outrageous paradigm.

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.

Whatever - those devil costumed guys (I know there is one original guy, but I saw too many this year for there to be just one) follow everyone around. Taunting is one thing. Spitting is a different story.

Please. As if any hot chick without such accessories ever received a ticket.

(Yes, I am aware that there are women police officers, and that not all of them are gay. And that some of the men *are* gay. But that doesn't change the underlying premise, and you all know that. Plus, I just got a ticket, and I am thinking about the 12,857 times my wife has been issued a "warning" for speeding. Bitter much? Um, yeah.)

well, the funny thing was that the sweatshirt trick worked for my mom. and, much as I feel bad for saying this, she is not hot. figures that the only time in her life she ever got pulled over she happened to be wearing a NYS Trooper sweatshirt. I'm relatively sure she didn't flash her tits. but she might have cried.*

*probably not. I think that the Trooper was feeling like being nice to a co-worker's mom-in-law. knowing how my mom drives, I find it amazing that she was ever going over the speed limit in the first place.

One of my sisters got off with a warning a record 19 times in a six month period. One of those times she was pulled over by a horse.

My last time pulled over, I cried and it didn't work. It sucks too, because I was legitimately crying over something that had nothing to do with the speeding ticket.

And by the way, the state of Arizona does not accept on-line defensive driving. Consider that my PSA for the day.
