Actually, that's where the original moniker came from...the former racing greyhound know as Bold N' Brazen...

who sired one of my former racing greyhounds...

so, yeah, I'm named after a dog I never met...

Paigow, you behaved perfectly with the gumbo. You graciously thanked your host for his extra efforts to accomodate you, and you didn't eat something that you felt you shouldn't. Brava.

On a totally different note, I have rediscovered my cache of fountain pens. Yea fountain pens.
I cant believe I did something right. I pretty much felt everyone thought I was being high maintanence and rude by not accepting the extra effort made especially for me. But they all ate everything with four legs and whiskers and had no dietary limits, whether chosen or not, and couldnt understnad. Its too bad theworld has to be segregated like this.

Which version? There are quite a few (this is a subject of great debate every so often on the Austen List-Serv*). My favorite Mr. Knightly is Jeremy Northram (swoon) from the Gwynneth Paltrow version, but my favorite Emma is Kate Beckinsdale from the BBC version (not sure it's BBC, but sure it's an Andrew Davies adaptation).

There could be no more perfect Miss Bates than Sophie Thompson -- she was absolutely perfect (GP version), but Toni Collette I thought was completely miscast, as was Ewan MacGregor. Samantha Morton was a terrific Harriet, though.

I know, I know.... I am far too familiar with this stuff...

Cool. Have you considered a greyhound pic (the dog, not the bus)?

Damn. We wasted tons of stuff on the Stewart girls back in college, and got nowhere.

Would have been much cheaper had we known this before.

Being the picky eater that I am, I always ask. And, so far, the only palce to admit being a lard place is Cactus Cantina. Am I to asume that the Frontera and Lauriol Plaza are being honest wtih me on their no lard statements? (I smell a lawsuit).

Viva Baja Fresh and its lard free, microwave free, delicious cuisine

I'm not sure about black beans here, since the lard thing doesn't bother me that much so I never bother to ask. I'm going to guess that it probably depends on the restaruant and whether or not they care about vegetarians and how they prepare their beans.
I have to ask. I know you have a no limits policy to eating animals, except your dog, but how can lard not bother you? Haent you heard the term "lardass"? To me, I imagine something deep fried in thigh flab, or ass jiggle. And now that I have seen lipo on tv, its even worse. fuckin nasty.

I gotta ixnay the avatar. a) its mispelled if the reference is to the baby and b) it makes me want chocolate and I definitely dont need that. bc when it comes to chocolate, I am nota picky eater. I may have to resort to assigning you to the pool party cheval and PJ are enjoying at my Ignore List and you arent even really offensive though you might have been pro fur. Actually, if you are pro fur, that could be fun for you. You and PJ could parade around in your too old for you furs, with nothing underneath while chevy watches a la Peter Sellers in the Pink Panther. That might be hot for ou guys. And it could get you that FB brass ring- the menage a trois. Ooh, how fwench.

Heh. Welcome to my world. Admittedly one I choose to walk into, but all the same, this is pretty tame as such things go.
