They look good with the cords here and there are places in St. Paul (if that's close). What's a Herbergers? Or Gander Mountain Co.?
And please don't kill a chinchilla. They're so cute.
I had a friend who used to have 2 chinchillas as pets. Hoover and Kirby.

What is it with vacuums and you? Geez.
That is really cute though. I kinda want one. Can they be litter-box trained?

I have a mink jacket with a chinchilla collar. A two-fer. Even though she's not here anymore, I can feel the wrath of Paigow raining down upon me.

I am not upset with you, because I don't think animal parts should be exploited or not based on cuteness and I eat all kinds of animals and wear leather, but looooook how cute this is!!!!
According to the caption, it pulled the label off the kabocha squash and is holding it.

Another manager might have tried too hard to do something, and made things worse. Here too, the informed views of someone who was more actively watching the Yankees would be more interesting than what I have to say.

Actually, it is often the fact that he won't shake things up that is the problem. He has to be told to move off of his veterans to make way for young talent. And even when he is made to accept younger players, he tends to stick with the older guys. I can't tell you the number of times he had Giambi playing first when he should have been DHing (at most) or Damon in center, when it was clear Damon should have been making way for Cabrera. He pitches relievers to death (even when we have decent starting pitching) because he is still stuck on his formula from '98. And that formula was great for '98, but it doesn't work every damn season.
I dread to think what would have happened to Joba's arm if Cashman hadn't instituted strict usage rules. He probably would have pitched it numb like he did with Gordon, Stanton, Vizcaino, Proctor and Nelson.
You have to change your management style based on the personnel you have. Torre just doesn't do that. And that's awesome when it comes to dealing with the New York press and it works great with certain veterans, but different teams need different things. And Torre is pretty much operating on cruise control every season.

So, are there any odds on steroid investigation information accidentally being "leaked" about Colorado players a few hours prior to the start of any of the World Series games?

What's a "high-heels all the time girl"? Does that mean you would wear 5 inch heels to go pumpkin picking?

This all sounds plausible enough to me, but -- as you suggested -- was all the more reason to part ways gracefully instead of offering a restructured one-year contract with incentives.

It was the San Francisco Chronicle reporters who ran the Byrd story, right? They had such strong sources for those sorts of stories before Mitchell came along that I would guess he's not the one feeding them. Either way, it was a pretty shitty thing for them to do to sit on the story until just before Game 7.

Look, I don't think the timing of the story had anything to do with the fact that Pronk and Sizemore and the rest of our hitting just shriveled up and died in the last 3 games. But what bothers me is that Mitchell issued a statement claiming that he and his staff had no knowledge of the allegations against Byrd and learned about them only when the story went public. Huh? He's leading the investigation and he doesn't know about these allegations? Either he is completely incompetent for the job or he's not being entirely truthful.
