New Subject and poll: 50 things to do before you die
I've done 13. Whale watching (note: we didn't actually see a whale, but we had fun on the boat), swim with sharks (note: I didn't intend to, I was snorkling and I thought it was a dolphin when I started following it), escape to a paradise island (note: no note, just on a roll with the notes), white water rafting, drive along route 66, motorcycle (note: not all cracked up to be), cowboy (note: raised partially on a ranch), waterfall, rainforest, horse on beach, rollercoaster, Disneyworld, Vegas.
Only five more? Egypt, Orient Express, Space, Everest, safari

If only 5 more: swim with Dolphins, go to the Galapagos, see the Polar Bears, try the Crested Run and bungee jump from the Sydney Harbor Bridge after I've clilmbed to the top (can you see Uluru from there?). And of course I would take the Rocky Mountaineer, the Orient Express and the Trans-Siberian Railway whenever possible.
|
I think 12 - Borealis, paradise, rafting, route 66, motorcycle, cowboy (sort of - I never "made a go of it" in the sense of trying to be a professional, but I've done cowboy things), hiking through a rain forest (deciduous, but still), waterfall, blue marlin, rollercoaster, Disney, Vegas).
I especially liked the photo captioned "Take a ride on the Orient Express" with the attractive woman in the come-hither smile and the skirt slit up to there, so I think I'll make that number one, along with Galapagos, polar bears, the Trans-Siberian, and driving a Formula One car.
Edited because I can't count.

120 lbs. my ass. And how would you like to be the booking officer requesting race. There must have been serious lip biting upon hearing the response.

No offense SS, but in his mug shot, MJ seems to be striking a pose much like your avatar's.
I know he can't be reptilian, he wouldn't have survived this long if he was.

That hurts. I wish I would have known this before I got the tattoo.

It looked large in Bitter Moon. I am not saying she's unattractive, it's just larger than most mainstream actresses' asses. (Unfortunately I cannot find a picture of it despite trying)

Finally, proof that the Japanese are not, in fact, necessarily smarter than us.
3,807 Japanese people taken in by scam in which total strangers call them, identify selves only as "me," and say they are in desperate need of money.
"Victims assume the person on the telephone must be a close relative and often agree to transfer the money to a bank account specified by the swindler straight away."
Total loss so far this year: $21.1 million.
So, anyone have friends in Japan? English-speakers preferred.

I thought you were the Asian ambassador here.

Yes, and he had exactly the right amount of talent and nuance to pull it off. So to speak.

I didn't see yesterday's South Park, but the image from last week of Cartman doing his Casa Bonita dance keeps popping up in my head. It's almost like I picture it on someone's face when they are talking to me. Not really good to start giggling for no reason when someone is talking to you.

Maybe I'll get to go cliff diving! That would be so sweet!!!

You are a media master, and you know your picture is front page everywhere tomorrow. Make-up or no? *
And so starts the comeback.
*of course one could pose the same rhetorical about dangling a baby out the window, but let's not argue at this tragic time.
