I call bullshit. They must be pulling your leg. Death pools are mainstream these days.

Or perhaps your traders are an unusally kind and tender-hearted group. Unlike the ones at Enron, who bragged about fucking "Grandma Millie" with high wholesale kilowat prices during the California energy shortage [sic.] they created/manipulated. Or the ones who short airline stocks after plane crashes.
Hi Not Bob.

I think you asked me a while back if it is O.K. to like Keane. I apologize for not responding sooner. It is fine to like Keane . . .

Is that a euphemism for something?

It is not purported to be doing well in the ratings. USA Today had it as a "bubble" show last week - unclear whether it will be picked up for next season.

Yes, I always read USA Today when I travel. Unless I have the current People or In Touch.
Oh, how I love In Touch. Its THE source for all my Jessica/Nick. BradnJen, Britney/Kevin and JLo information.

Show Dogs Moms and Dads

I saw this Sunday night. What a great show. Has anyone been watching it all? Does it hold up, or did I maybe see a exceptional episode?

Not that people signing an online petition has ever changed anything.
For better or worse, I think that the tobasco campaign to save Roswell actually worked.

This whole Pope voting nonsense reminds me of what is sure to be the FB Old Folks Home cicrca 2050. You get Less, Slave, SD, and Coltrane in a room doing their super secret fraternity shit, no broads allowed, ANd Bilmore is elected. I hvent fully thought this out and I certainly am not conveying my thought, but you get the gist.
I was rooting against the German, because no matter how often they change the name, he was still head of the Inquisition.

His main weapon is surprise and fear.

I thought the whole Hitler Youth thing would cut against his candidacy, but live and learn.

Arguably a PB post, but on balance, more for the FB.

Appears that the Justice Department has come out with a new report examining the serious issues our society is facing today: Illicit Sexual Activity in Public Places. (No, really.)

I haven't had the time to give this document the thorough review it deserves, but even from a glance, one must admire its attention to detail.
  • As with those who engage in sexual activity in public restrooms, those who do so at truck stops or rest areas generally don't want to be detected. (p. 6)
That this report cites three scholarly resources in support in support of this proposition gives you a sense of the meticulousness with which our public servants approach this subject. Certainly, where empirical support is not available, the report must be more circumspect.
  • The climate likely has an influence on outdoor public sexual activity. (p. 7)
Doubtlessly so. And here I thought the difference in statistics between Daytona Beach and Manitoba were due to the availability of alcohol.

I cannot recall -- is Illicit Public Sex on the list FB "toe sucking" fetishes, or is it somewhere lower on the list, like eyeball licking?

Gattigap
There's a bill in the Texas legislature that would filter some public wifi for whatever it is that the legislature thinks is bad (i.e. porn). Wifi is available at rest stops and state parks. Basically, they're trying to prohibit truckers from getting online porn at rest stops.

I guess they'll have to look to more traditional means at rest stops.

I heard he turned that into a plus, arguing it shows he could be around young boys w/o sprouting wood. Grasp your nettles and all.
